2022 CSCC Annual Report

Throughout 2021, CSCC members continued to show tenacity for maintaining and improving reliable and resilient communications networks in the face of a growing number of complex threats. As COVID-19 restrictions and the imperative to work from home and stay at home continue, there has been a greater exposure to cyber risk. Cybersecurity attacks continued to
increase through 2021—both in terms of threat vectors, numbers, and consequences; just as climate change has increased the intensity and frequency of extreme weather. Additionally, the adoption and integration of Internet of Things (IoT) is creating a complex mesh of cyber-physical systems which expands attack surfaces.
